Sutter's Fort, Sacramento, CA

John Sutter came to Sacramento in 1839 and completed the fort a few years later.  The fort was an important trading post and was a goal for covered wagon pioneers.  The fort had an office for Sutter, a doctor's office, a general store, cannons, guns, a saddle shop, a candle maker, a blacksmith, a furniture store, cannon and one cannon has a swing next to it for sitting I think and a kitchen.  It was very interesting to see how the pioneers must have lived over 100 years ago.
