Governor's Mansion, Sacramento, CA

We drove up to Sacramento to my in-laws house for the 4th of July.  It is about a 7 1/2 hour drive north of Oceanside.  They took us to the Governor's Mansion in Sacramento.  It was built in 1877 by the wealthy Gallatin family.  In 1887, they moved to San Francisco and they sold the home to some friends.  The state of California purchased the home from their friends in 1903 to serve as the first official home for California's governors and their families.  13 different governor's lived there and Ronald and Nancy Reagan lived there, but only for 3 months.  The house has 4 floors, but we were only able to see 2 floors as they are still refurbising some of the other floors.  The girls used my camera and my phone and they took a lot of pictures.
