Sea World's Spooktacular

We went to Sea World Spooktacular celebration for some pre-Halloween fun.  The kids can wear their costumes and trick or treat around the park.  There were various trick or treating stations around the park.  The park was decorated for Halloween and there were a lot of costumed characters walking around.  It was a lot of fun.  We did see some animals too.  But, it was mostly about following the treasure map to the candy!!  We did see a cute river otter playing with a ball, a porcupine and the kids fed the flamingos.  The kids also touched the stingrays.   The stingrays actually like to be touched almost like a dog.  It was a beautiful day and it was a lot of fun.  Our cousin, Stephanie joined us in the fun.

Oceanside beach

On Saturday, Chano, Molly, Marina and I went to the beach.  Daphne was at a birthday party.  I went boogie boarding with Molly and Marina.  The waves were great.  It is a lot of fun to boogie board.

Beautiful Oceanside night sky

I walk Leo a lot at night because there is a nice breeze off the ocean and sky is just beautiful.  It is either orange in color or pink and blue.  The grayish color at the horizon line is the ocean. Here are a couple of pictures from one of our walks.

Corvette Diner, San Diego

After the museum, our cousin, Stephanie who lives in San Diego met up with us in Balboa Park.  We decided to go to the Corvette Diner in the Point Loma area of San Diego.  It was really cute.  It was a 50's diner.  The wait staff had wigs on and some of them have beehives and Elvis hair.  They did a singing routine in the middle of the restaurant.  It was a lot of fun. When we were done eating we walked about the part of the bay by Point Loma.  Afterwards on the way home, we saw hot air balloons near Del Mar.

Balboa Park, San Diego

Balboa Park is a really beautiful area of San Diego.  It is where most of the many museums are located. There are also shops and restaurants. It has beautiful streets and buildings that look like they are from Europe.  There is a lot of activity in this area with a lot of street vendors selling things.  It has a Japanese garden and lily pad garden.  There are these little cottages that are called the international houses that represent different countries and they are open on Sundays with special events and tours.  The San Diego zoo is also located next to Balboa park.
