Marina took an extra class after school each week about the wetlands in California. At the end of the class, she went on a field trip to the Nature Center at the Buena Vista Lagoon. It is a fresh water lagoon not far from the ocean. I went with her. We saw a frog and we saw a bug that turns into a dragon fly. There were also exhibits inside that showed animals in the lagoon. There is the rare, white pelican and one of my favorites, the black surf scoter.
