Mojave Desert, California

After we left Victorville, CA we drove down Route 40 which is old Route 66 and we drove through the Mojave Desert.  It was over 100 degrees in the desert.  The Mojave desert is quite beautiful and desolate.  We stopped at one of the only gas stations in Mojave Desert called Hi Sahara Oasis.  As you drive up to the gas station it looks like and oasis with Palm trees and pools.  It was so hot out there that they had misters that sprayed you as you walked in the gas station.
