Leo Carrillo was an actor in the 1930's. He was in the show The Cisco Kid. He owned the Leo Carrillo Ranch which at one time was a 2,538 acre working ranch. It is now only 27 acres and it is owned by the City of Carlsbad. There are about 2 dozen peacocks running around on the property and you can hear them making noises on the ground and even in the trees. We even saw some baby peacocks. Unfortunately, a lot of the buildings were closed because of a wedding so we didn't get to go inside his house and see the pool and gardens. Here are some pictures.
